David Scott Ranney

I called Mom this morning and she filled me in on the new grandchild. David Scott Ranney was born to Keri and sean early Friday morning. He was 6 lbs 8 ounces and is gorgeous mom says. Scott wanted to stay and visit with his new grandson and soak in the new baby vibes so much that they didn't get home from Sacramento til midnight last night. Mom says baby David is feeding well and sleeping with Keri. Pictures will come soon so keep checking back for the cute baby.

BTW, as an aside the Cochruns are in the hospital too delivering their new baby. Surprise surprise. For those of you who go way back, that's Bing and his wife Anita. Will have more info on that soon.

UPDATE: Mathias Andrew was born Friday weighing 6 lbs. 4 ounces and was 14 inches long. Bing has stayed with him in the nursery while Anita recovers from a c-section. Baby and Mommy are doing good though. Welcome Mathias!!!

Like Father Like Son

Okay, so we know kids are impressionable these days, but when your son takes his new truck and puts in on the mantle you know he is watching everything you do. This is the dump truck he got from his godparents as a late birthday present this week. He told me, "truck like dada." That means he wanted to make his truck go 4 X 4ing like he did with Dad last weekend.

Deek, start looing for a rig now cause this guy is going to be all about the trails in a few years. Hmmmm....Taylor, Cody, and Charlie in a rig? Scary!

Charlie came running to me and said, "Uh oh. It's stuck." Guess our conversation pit is a little too agressive for the new dump truck. Let's get that puppy some new gears! Wait, does Markin make wooden gears?

Okay for those of you who speak 4 X 4:
Solid axles
EFI
5.71 gears
35" X terrains
Marlin Dual Cases
Detroit front
ARB Rear
a/c modified for onboard air with underbody airtank
5" all pro lift
hy-steering
8000 lb. Warn winch
Tube bumper
and last but not least.........power windows

Okay, all together now.............."NICE!"

Our New Baby

Here is our new baby we traded for the Toyota truck. It is an 1984 Toyota 4runner SR5. A friend of ours thought it would be more kid-friendly to go 4 X 4ing than our truck seeing as we can only put 2 people in the truck. Below I will list all the cool features it has, but for those of you who don't speak 4 X 4 or don't care, let's just say it has a lot of stuff that makes this a cool vehicle to climb big rocks with easily.

We still don't have a name for our baby. Any suggestions?

Jason Graduates

Can you believe Jason is old enough to graduate? He graduated for Clovis High School in June. The whole family went to celebrate his graduation.

First Swimming Lessons

The kids took swimming lessons this summer with Jessoca Robinson, one of our moms at Mothers on the Mountain.

We had a great time learning how to kick kick kick and bubble in the pool!

Thanks Aunt Jan for the great swimming jackets. They work great as cover ups at the pool and at the lake.

A virtual teepeeing

Guess whose boat got vadalized? Ironically, by the time Dad got to the boat, the wind had blown all the toilet paper away! HeHeHe!

This was done in June but has been posted to the BLOG as of late.

Dad is in Poland right now having a great time even though the days are long and hot. Oh to be a fly on the wall with Dad and Pastor Jim in Europe.
